Thankful Thursday (#2)
I’m thankful today for the fact that my mother, brother, and I were able to tell my father ‘I Love You’ one last time.
On a day like today when so many people are remembering the lives lost, I see the day with a different set of eyes– after losing a loved one quickly and unexpectedly, it gives me some bit of comfort knowing I had that opportunity to see him one last time. I cannot even imagine the level of grief losing someone on 9/11 brings. I pray for their souls and for the survivors.
